IPv6 Support

Where
MAE IPv6 exchange service is available at all the MAE facilities.

Service Characteristics
IPv6 and IPv4 peering services reside on the same level 2 exchange switch fabric. IPv6 is transparent to the switching platform and the access type (ATM, Frame, or GigE), and the connections are supported by PeerMaker. Customers may choose to use a separate port for IPv6 or share the same port among IPv6 and IPv4 connections. The service supports native, dual-stack, tunneling connections configurations.

IPv6 Addressing
IPv6 address space is automatically allocated to customers that have a current IPv4 address. A new exchange point address that is IPv6 native (no IPv4) can be obtained from ep.net by filling out the Exchange Point IP Registration Form.
